1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Yeshua was there: 2and Yeshua also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3And when the wine failed, the mother of Yeshua says to him, They have no wine. 4And Yeshua says to her, Woman, what have I to do with you? my hour has not yet come. 5His mother says to the servants, Whatever he says to you, do it. 6Now there were six waterpots of stone set there according to the Jews’ manner of purifying, containing two or three firkins apiece. 7Yeshua says to them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8And he says to them, Draw some out now, and take it to the ruler of the feast. And they took it. 9And when the ruler of the feast tasted the water now become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the ruler of the feast calls the bridegroom, 10and says to him, Every man sets out the good wine first; and when men have drunk freely, then that which is worse: you have kept the good wine until now. 11This beginning of his signs Yeshua did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him. 12After this he went down to Capernaum, he, and his mother, and his brothers, and his disciples; and they did not stay there many days. 13And the passover of the Jews was at hand, and Yeshua went up to Jerusalem. 14And he found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers sitting: 15and he made a scourge of cords, and cast all out of the temple, both the sheep and the oxen; and he poured out the changers’ money, and overthrew their tables; 16and to those who sold the doves he said, Take these things from here; do not make my Father’s house a house of merchandise. 17His disciples remembered that it was written, Zeal for your house shall eat me up. 18The Jews therefore answered and said to him, What sign do you show us, seeing that you do these things? 19Yeshua answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 20The Jews therefore said, Forty-six years this temple was in building, and will you raise it up in three days? 21But he spoke of the temple of his body. 22When therefore he was raised from the dead, his disciples remembered that he spoke this; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Yeshua had said. 23Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, during the feast, many believed in his name, beholding his signs which he did. 24But Yeshua did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men, 25and because he did not need anyone to bear witness concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.
