A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David. I will extol you, O Yehovah; for you have raised me up, And have not made my foes rejoice over me.
O Yehovah my God, I cried to you, and you have healed me.
O Yehovah, you have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
Sing praise to Yehovah, O you saints of his, And give thanks to his holy memorial name.
For his anger is but for a moment; His favor is for a lifetime: Weeping may tarry for the night, But joy comes in the morning.
As for me, I said in my prosperity, I shall never be moved.
You, Yehovah, by your favor had made my mountain stand strong: You hid your face; I was troubled.
I cried to you, O Yehovah; And to Yehovah I made supplication:
What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise you? shall it declare your truth?
Hear, O Yehovah, and have mercy upon me: Yehovah, be my helper.
You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have loosed my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
To the end that my glory may sing praise to you, and not be silent. O Yehovah my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
